Professional Biography

Danielle Maude Littman is a community-engaged scholar and artist who received her A.M. from the University of Chicago and her B.A. in Theatre and Creative Nonfiction Writing from Northwestern University. She studies how having spaces of belonging may buffer against the impacts of chronic and generational trauma, especially for marginalized adolescents. She is committed to the integration of arts-based methods in social science research, alongside participatory, critical and qualitative research methodologies.
