Professional Biography

Clinical Social Work since 1975, specializing in providing Family Therapy services in outpatient, intensive outpatient and acute care settings, with multi-problem families in both public and private sectors.

Co-Owner / Director, Denver Family Therapy Center, Inc. (DFTC). Since 1988, A Group Practice providing mental health and substance abuse services, from a systemic, family based and strength based perspective, to individuals, groups and families including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. DFTC has specialized in working with “at risk” adolescents and families, and is contracted with most major managed care companies, metro Denver Probation departments, metro Denver Human Services Departments and other community agencies.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Counselor III, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, AAMFT Clinical Member, NASW member.

Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work since Fall 2009. Adjunct at DU GSSW, since 1998.

GSSW Committee service: MSW Committee, Curriculum Committee, Foundation Curriculum Committee.

Faculty and Supervisor. Since 1982, at the Denver Family Institute, a post-masters training program accredited by the American Association for Marital and Family Therapy. Co-coordinator 1990-1993.

Consultant, Supervisor, and Trainer for many community agencies in the Denver Metro area in the areas of Family Therapy, Adolescent Substance Abuse, Brief Therapy and other related topics.

Board member, (President) Denver Family Institute.
