What I do

Maggie earned an MSW degree with a certificate in Animal-Assisted Social Work from the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work. Prior to her graduate work, Maggie worked as an animal trainer, as well as an ABA therapist for children with autism, both in-home and in a school setting. Her current work and passion is centered around bridging humane education and social work to empower all individuals to make choices that will positively impact humans, non-human animals, and the environment.

Maggie holds a Certified Humane Education Specialist Credential from the Academy of Prosocial Learning, where she is also developing a course centered around privilege and humane education. She is also the current treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Humane Education Coalition.
