Professional Biography

Steve Holloway, MPH, is the Director of the Health Access Branch and Director the Primary Care Office at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The branch hosts work emphasizing the needs of medically underserved persons and acts through workforce analysis, access to care policy development, health systems data, and practice incentives such as loan repayment. Steve serves on several boards and commissions, which address the needs of the medically underserved including the Colorado Primary Care Payment Reform Collaborative, Center for Health Workforce Studies Advisory Council at the University of Albany, the Colorado Health Extension Service Steering Committee. Steve is a member of the Institutional Review Board for Human Subjects Research at the Department of Health and Environment and was appointed in 2010 by the US Secretary of Health and Human Services to serve on a Negotiated Rule Making Committee chartered under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
