Capacity Building Center for Tribes
The purpose of this project is to help strengthen Tribal child and family systems and services in order to nurture the safety, permanency and well-being of children, youth and families.
The Capacity Building Center for Tribes is part of the Children's Bureau's Capacity Building Collaborative, a partnership between the Center for Tribes, the Center for States and the Center for Courts. The Center for Tribes collaborates with American Indian and Alaska Native nations to help them develop and sustain strong child welfare programs in order to keep native children safely in their homes. The Center for Tribes serves all IV-B and IV-E funded tribes through tailored services projects as well as developing, collecting and disseminating research, information, and tools through a national searchable database library.
