IHAC Receives $10,000 from The Human-Animal Alliance for Student Scholarships

IHAC is proud to announce that we have a received a $10,000 grant from The Human-Animal Alliance! This grant allows us to provide scholarships for students who would otherwise be unable to participate in our IHACPro programs due to cost. The Human-Animal Alliance’s mission is to directly support programs that share their belief in the power and value of human-animal connection. We are grateful to them for partnering with IHAC to promote our work in human-animal interactions.
IHACPro is our suite of professional development certificates and courses that provide education and training to students who want to ethically integrate human-animal interactions into their human-service field. Our students bring a diverse skill set from a variety of professions including mental health therapists, teachers, nurses, occupational therapists, shelter and animal welfare employees, speech language pathologists, school counselors, and more.
Students receiving these scholarships will be able to take what they learn in the IHACPro program and put the knowledge and skills into place in their professional work. The impact of these scholarships will extend beyond the recipients, to the various clients with whom they work who will benefit from healing through the human-animal connection. Please join us in thanking The Human-Animal Alliance for their support for IHACPro students!
