Your Family, Your Neighborhood

This project seeks to understand the impact of the Your Family, Your Neighborhood intervention on parent engagement with their children, family attachment to schools, and neighborhood social cohesion.

Your Family, Your Neighborhood (YFYN) is a dual-generation curriculum designed to address academic success and improve the health and well-being of families living in subsidized housing communities. YFYN is a 10-session practice-based curriculum delivered in the evenings to parents and their children at their housing community. The curriculum focuses on developing the bond between children and their parents, developing parent's attachment to schools, improving academic outcomes for kids, developing cohesive relationships in the community, and promoting the health and well-being of family members.
