What I do

Marisa helps manage social science research projects focusing on human-animal-environment interactions (HAEI). Her current research examines the connections between HAEI, self-regulation, and positive youth development of students in a residential treatment center. Marisa received her MSW and Animal-Assisted Social Work certificate from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social work in 2020. She is passionate about creating projects and communicating research outcomes in a way that is accessible and useful to study participants and marginalized audiences.
