Professional Biography
Sasha Pina is a Research Associate for the PetSmart Charities Incubator Diverse Community Care Program Evaluation research project at the Institute for Human Animal Connection. Sasha Pina has a Master’s degree in Medical Anthropology and Public Health from New Mexico State University as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Dakota. Sasha has experience in working with social determinants of health and law enforcement, as well as cultural competency. Currently, Sasha Pina is working on her PhD in Community Health Equity Sciences, and is eager to see how the work applies to both human and animals.
