Jenni Forkin

Professional Biography
Jenni Forkin is a Research Fellow with the Institute for Human-Animal Connect (IHAC) at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Clemson University and is extremely passionate about social justice, activism, and animal rights.
In her position with IHAC, Jenni supports research on mental health and human animal interactions. More specifically, she works on projects that utilize biomarker and proteomics data to quantify the connection between humans and animals. Currently, she is studying the advantages and disadvantages of the pairing between service animals and veterans with PTSD.
