Scholarships to Attend hai2022 Conference at Green Chimneys
IHAC and Green Chimneys will provide two scholarships to DU MSW students
The Institute for Human-Animal Connection and Green Chimneys will be providing scholarships for two University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work students to attend the HAI2022: “Animal-Assisted Services - Focus on the Animal” conference on April 29-30, 2022 at Green Chimneys in Brewster, New York.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide access to this exciting professional development and networking opportunity to two MSW students who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference. The scholarship will cover conference registration and up to $750 towards hotel, transportation, and airfare.
Foundation year, concentration year, and advanced standing students from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work (students from all DU MSW programs) are encouraged to apply. The two scholarship recipients will be required to register for the 1-credit Green Chimneys conference course in Spring Quarter 2022. Individuals who apply do not need to be pursuing the Human-Animal-Environment Interactions (HAEI) in Social Work certificate.
How to apply: Applicants should prepare an essay (500 word maximum) describing how attending the hai2022 conference will support their careers in the human-animal-environment interactions (HAEI) field.
Essays are due to Assistant Director of Research Sloane Hawes at sloane.hawes@du.edu by Sunday, January 16th, 2022. Notification of scholarship recipients will take place by January 31st, 2022.
