I love that social workers have a responsibility to social and political action. I am committed to teaching social workers why policy is imperative and is a critical vehicle for social change.

Professional Biography

Courtney Hoskins is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work teaching policy related classes, Aging Policy, Mental Health and Health Care Policy and Social Policy Analysis, Advocacy and Practice. She is also the Course Coordinator for Mental Health and Health Care Policy and Social Policy Analysis, Advocacy and Practice.

Courtney also runs her own consulting firm, working directly on improving program operations and policies for publicly funded programs that serve older adults and caregivers. Prior to this, Courtney worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living/Administration on Aging from 1992 - 2019.

Courtney has her undergraduate degree in Gerontology from the University of Northern Colorado and her master's degree in public administration from the University of Colorado.
