What I do

I am in private practice and a clinical social worker at Denver Public Schools, both in middle and high schools. My primary clinical focus is on adolescent females and LGBTQIA2Spirt+ youth. However, in my role at the schools, I also run groups and work with my clients' families.

I teach many foundation-year classes, including Power Privilege and Oppression, HBSE, and Integrated Social Work Practice for Social Justice. I also teach Existential Social Work and Solution Focus Brief Therapy.

I had the privilege of assisting Dr. Johnny Kim with multiple Solution Focus Brief Therapy research grants, presentations, and training. I have contributed to curriculum development and am a member of the GSSW MSW curriculum committee.

I received my MSW in 2001 at DU GSSW and my bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University in 1993. I received my LCSW in 2004. I supervise candidates earning their clinical licenses. I am a member of NASW and the Solution Focus Brief Therapy Association.
