What I do

In young Park’s experiences of studying and observing the impacts of prejudice and discrimination on culturally minority youth have motivated her to examine social distresses and barriers. While obtaining an MSW, she worked as a research assistant in a government-funded institute and in social welfare centers in Korea. Her main research interests are: 1) finding relationships between immigrant parents’ acculturation factors and children’s mental health and behavioral problems, and 2) improving culturally appropriate interventions for immigrant families.
