Professional Biography

Graduate School of Social Work PhD student Sarah Sullivan's research focuses on how health is defined within the neoliberal context of the United States and the consequential exclusions (based on ability status, body size, citizenship status, class, gender, race, sexuality, etc.) that are built into its construction. Within this, Sarah primarily studies diet culture, health/wellness on social media, eating disorders, and weight stigma.
