Colorado Fatherhood Program Evaluation
To learn whether the suite of services offered to fathers through the CFP is effective in improving father well-being.
The ACF-funded Colorado Fatherhood Program (CFP) plans to serve 1,820 eligible fathers aged 18 and older across the state of Colorado (in seven fatherhood sites). Services will assist fathers in building healthy parent-child and co-parent relationships (through a Dads Matter/Nurturing Fathers hybrid program), support fathers’ economic stability, and build social capital. The CFP evaluation will use a mixed-methods design to evaluate both implementation and program outcomes (impact) with goals of: 1) informing the adaptation and implementation of an integrated Dads Matter-Nurturing Fathers program, 2) exploring implementation challenges and facilitators associated with the unique structure of this project that supports programming at seven distinct sites, and 3) examining the impact of the suite of fatherhood services provided through the CFP.
