Does Nia improve functioning?

The Nia Technique is a mind/body physical conditioning program that stands for Neuro-Muscular Integrative Action. Nia combines martial arts, dance arts and healing arts in a workout set to music. The Co-PI, Robin List, is a licensed Nia Instructor. List has anecdotally seen the benefits her adult participants have after taking a Nia class. We would like to evaluate the impact that Nia has on its participants' lives in and outside of class.
