Fostering Healthy Futures 10-Year Longitudinal Study
The aim of the 10-year Fostering Healthy Futures® longitudinal study is to examine the interplay of risk and protective factors for a host of outcomes among 450 young adults with a history of foster care placement.
The Fostering Healthy Futures® longitudinal study includes data collected at five time points (from pre-adolescence to young adulthood) spanning almost 10 years. Data were collected from youth, parents/caregivers, teachers and administrative records on dozens of constructs, enabling the examination of the interplay of risk and protective factors over time. Secondary data analyses are being conducted in collaboration with multiple investigators and their students at different institutions.
