University of Nebraska - Wages & Well-Being in Educare
Examining how Educare teaching and administrative staff perceive their well‐being related to compensation, and their perspectives on other workplace supports that enhance well‐being in Educare.
This mixed methods project uses survey data and focus groups to examine the perceived effects of wage increases on the well‐being of early childhood educators. The project also seeks to understand: how indicators of staff well-being are associated with children’s learning and development; what staff see as necessary for enhancing their wellbeing in the workplace; and what additional data are needed to understand and support staff wellbeing. This study has implications for supporting staff and improving early learning programs.
