Professional Biography

Colleen (she/hers) received a BSW, MSW, and certificate in Global Health from East Tennessee State University. Colleen’s practice experience includes program planning, working with Veterans experiencing homelessness, and crisis intervention. Most recently, Colleen has worked as a clinical faculty at East Tennessee State University where she conducted research in community-based capacity building programs focusing on building trauma-responsive communities. Colleen’s research interests include environmental justice, responses to environmental degradation in marginalized communities, international social work, and community-led initiatives for climate adaptation and mitigation.
