What I do

I oversee various aspects of the MSW@Denver student placement process to ensure high-quality, student-centered placements. I love what I do because by providing students with quality field education opportunities, I get to help propel the next generation of well-prepared, passionate social workers into the field to continue the work.

Professional Biography

Erin Clark is a social work professional with over a decade of experience in education and student support. Her earlier career includes working as a school social worker in the Chicago area supporting special education services, trauma-informed practices, and crisis interventions. She also held leadership roles with City Year in Chicago and Denver, managing AmeriCorps programming in public high schools, mentoring diverse teams, and leading school-based initiatives that improved student outcomes.

In 2019, Erin joined the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work, where she progressed from Field Education Coordinator to Senior Field Coordinator, and now serves as the Field Placement Manager. In this role, Erin leads out on placement operations for the MSW@Denver program. She supervises a team of field coordinators, supports policy and program development, and collaborates across departments to ensure high-quality, student-centered placements. Erin is also currently an adjunct faculty member, serving as a Field Liaison and teaching SOWK 4000.
