Professional Biography
Jina Park is from Seoul, South Korea. She received her bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature and Psychology from Sungkyunkwan University. She then earned her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, with a concentration in older adults and aging societies. She has worked as a social worker for about 2 years in various organizations in St. Louis and South Korea, primarily advocating for people with disabilities and older adults. While working as a social worker, she could have witnessed people with disabilities who are aging but systematically did not get enough support and needed to rely heavily on their informal caregivers. Aligning with her experiences, she currently focuses primarily on intersecting aging and disability field, advocating either people with disabilities who are aging or older adults who acquired disabilities later in their lives.
