Professional Biography

Lexi Mueller (she/her) received her BSW and MSW from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a child welfare concentration. Following graduation, Mueller worked for six years in direct practice and policy level roles for Wisconsin’s Child Protective Services system. As a researcher, Mueller hopes to explore workforce well-being for child welfare professionals, especially as it relates to moral events and psychological safety. Mueller believes in building safe systems where a healthy, functioning workforce can work toward improved outcomes for children and families.
