What I do

Sharon is a clinical social worker providing short and long-term therapy with individuals and groups in an out-patient oncology clinic in Durango, Colorado. She also teaches clinical practice courses with MSW@Denver. Additionally, Sharon provides clinical supervision to MSW's seeking licensure, agency-based supervision with MSW student interns and clinical consultations.

with clients and families with life limiting illnesses in hospice, empathic, trauma informed care with a myriad of disorders, namely depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, traumatic brain injury and chronic illness. Sharon is licensed in NY, CA and CO and is Oncology Social Work Certified (OSW-C)

Professional Biography

Sharon earned her BA in psychology and English literature from University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT and her MSW from New York University in NYC, specializing in short- and long term psychotherapy with adults. Throughout her clinical career, she has simultaneously taught clinical practice courses in schools of social work, on ground and online. She lives in Mancos, CO and enjoys skiing, reading, hiking and baking.
