Jeff Fink believed that the human-animal bond could be a powerful force for healing, connection, and hope. Through his partnership with the Institute for Human–Animal Connection (IHAC) at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work, Jeff transformed his personal experience into a mission that touched thousands of lives and expanded conversations about mental health nationwide. Through its research, education, and professional training programs, IHAC is a national leader in advancing understanding of the human-animal bond and its impact on health, mental wellness, and community well-being. The Institute equips students, practitioners, and organizations with evidence-informed approaches to integrating human-animal relationships into practice and policy.
