Nebraska Revised Statute §43-247.04

(1) It is the intent of the Legislature to transfer four hundred fifty thousand dollars in General Funds from the Department of Health and Human Services' 2014-15 budget to the office of the State Court Administrator's budget for the purpose of making the State Court Administrator directly responsible for contracting and paying for court-connected prehearing conferences, family group conferences, expedited family group conferences, child welfare mediation, permanency prehearing conferences, termination of parental rights prehearing conferences, juvenile victim-offender dialogue, and other related services. Such funds shall be transferred on or before October 15, 2014.  (2) The Department of Health and Human Services shall continue to be responsible for contracting with mediation centers approved by the Office of Dispute Resolution to provide family group conferences, mediation, and related services for non-court-involved and voluntary child welfare or juvenile cases through June 30, 2017, unless extended by the Legislature.
