Permanent supportive housing for young people experiencing homelessness
How do young people who formerly experienced homelessness grow and change as they move into permanent supportive housing?
Outcome analysis and arts-based qualitative methods are used to understand shifts in well-being among a sample of 34 young people who experienced homelessness as they move into a brand new multi-million dollar permanent supportive housing program. Surveys and administrative data will assess changes in housing, education, employment, mental and physical health over time, while photovoice, text journaling and geographic interviews will be used to understand young peoples' experiences living in housing, in terms of how they think about themselves and their community.
