Alex Stuart

Alex’s work in international development in Central Asia and Eastern Europe taught her that how you do something can be as important as what you do. Today, as Director of Finance and Grants Administration, Alex gets to live this idea every day by enhancing and strengthening the fiscal and operational practices that underlie our exciting work. In this role, she provides strategic financial planning, management and oversight of Butler’s financial systems.

Prior to joining the Butler Institute, Alex worked in the areas of strategic planning, operations management and grants management for more than 10 years. In addition to fiscal tasks, her work has included helping to organize a summer camp in Tajikistan, supporting refugee repatriation in Bulgaria, and managing grants and contracts for the Colorado Division of Child Welfare.
