Professional Biography

Andrea's interest in research began in a social psychology lab during her undergraduate career. She enjoyed learning through data and wanted to expand her understanding of what she studied in the real world. While Andrea was an intern working with youth and families involved in the criminal justice system, she realized she enjoyed both the clinical and research aspects of her experience.

This is what led her to the Butler Institute. Through her current work, she helps strengthen programs that strive to provide quality services for youth and families. Andrea primarily works on projects around early childhood education and health, and she most enjoys working with the passionate and committed direct service providers out in the community.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys hiking fourteeners; visiting national parks; dancing; rooting on her favorite baseball team, the Chicago White Sox; and visiting friends and family in her hometown of Chicago.
