Professional Biography
Michael Holcombe, MSW, TPC, QA, is a research associate I at Butler. In his dual role as a researcher and coach, Michael provides research and evaluation services, coaching, training and technical assistance to individuals and organizations. He has over 17 years of experience in the human services and social justice fields, serving both rural and urban communities and providing advocacy, resource navigation and evaluation services, as well as facilitating program and workforce development. Michael approaches coaching with curiosity, compassion and a passion for helping people gain insight into themselves and this complex world to find the right path forward.
Michael received his master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver and completed coach training through Butler’s Academy of Professional Coaching, where he became a Trained Professional Coach (TPC) through the International Coaching Federation. He has been an Intercultural Developmental Inventory Qualified Administrator (QA) since 2023 and provides individual and group debriefs focused on developing intercultural competence.
