Training is only one piece of integrating new skills, we need support to apply the newly learned skills into practice.
Mentor coaching is one-on-one time with an ICF credentialed coach to help build confidence and competence. These sessions include conversations around practice-related issues, feedback on the integration of coaching competencies and personal exploration of the use of self in coaching.
Mentor coaching may also require you to provide an audio recording of a coaching session to your faculty advisor for observation and feedback.
We recommend monthly advising meetings (conducted virtually via telephone or Zoom ) for up to six months.
