Capacity Building Center for Tribes (Center for Tribes)

Goal: Strengthen tribal child and family systems and services to nurture the safety, permanency and well-being of children, youth and families

The Capacity Building Center for Tribes is part of the Children’s Bureau Capacity Building Collaborative, a partnership between the Center for Tribes, the Center for States and the Center for Courts. The Center provides training and technical assistance to build the capacity of tribal child welfare programs and collaborates with American Indian and Alaska Native nations to help strengthen tribal child and family systems and services in order to nurture the safety, permanency and well-being of children, youth and families. We work to achieve a common goal of improving and maximizing child welfare service delivery within sovereign tribal nations.
