Professional Biography
Associate Professor Aneesha Bharwani brings leadership, team development and program development expertise to GSSW. Her practice includes work with at-risk youth and immigrant populations, and she has focused heavily on interpersonal violence and crisis intervention services with victims of crime. For over 10 years, Bharwani has specialized in program development, program administration and managing organizational change and growth.
Prior to joining GSSW in January 2018, Bharwani served as the director of field education for seven years at another university, where she built their MSW field education program, developing all field education policies, processes and programming. Passionate about both tennis and developing leadership skills, she has provided trainings to agency supervisors working with interns on communication, feedback and effective supervision.
She is dedicated to advocating for social justice issues and creating an inclusive environment within GSSW.
