University of Alabama SSW - Coaching for Stipend Students
Goal: To improve the retention of Title IV-E stipend students enrolled at the University of Alabama post graduation.
Butler, along with the Alabama Higher Education Consortium on Child Welfare, is implementing coaching for Title IV-E stipend students to enhance and increase the confidence and competence of Alabama child welfare scholars entering the child welfare workforce. The goal of this project is to better prepared child welfare professionals to manage the stress and trauma associated with the work and, in turn, increase retention rates beyond employee payback periods.
