Create Positive Change

With a Degree in Social Work

Social workers empower people and communities and create positive change – locally and around the world. With a Master of Social Work, you can work toward social justice while making an incredible impact working with populations who have experienced oppression.

Ranked in the top 20 schools of social work, the Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) at the University of Denver provides an accredited and high-quality education with a variety of concentration options. After graduation, our students obtain purposeful careers in a variety of traditional and non-traditional settings.

Our faculty includes some of social work’s brightest minds; they have community experience across many fields of practice, and they publish ground-breaking research to impact social change. Since class sizes are kept small, faculty develop real relationships with every student. They challenge students out of their comfort zones to achieve public good – to advocate for individuals or communities who have been marginalized and to inform policies based on equality for all people.

We have three on-campus locations – all in sunny Colorado where hiking, skiing and adventuring is at your door step. Find a social work degree that fits your needs and explore our program options and campus locations. We also offer MSW@Denver, our Online Master of Social Work program.
